Briarwood Soccer Club standards to coach at the various levels:
U6/U8 - Grassroots 4v4, 7v7
U10-U12 - Grassroots 9v9, 11v11
U13-U18 Div 2 - Grassroots 11v11
U13-U19 Div 1 - USSF D
U13-U19 Div 1 - USSF C or USC National or above
U6/U8 - Grassroots 4v4, 7v7
U10-U12 - Grassroots 9v9, 11v11
U13-U18 Div 2 - Grassroots 11v11
U13-U19 Div 1 - USSF D

Register for a Course
Intro to Grassroots Coaching
This free introductory module, which represents the first step in the newly revised coaching license pathway, is now the general starting point of the pathway and is the required prerequisite to undergo any of U.S. Soccer's Grassroots Licensing Courses. Coaches who complete the module will also be provided with four complimentary Play-Practice-Play training sessions.
The module takes approximately 20 minutes to complete.
4v4 Course
The 4v4 In-Person Course builds on the principles covered in U.S. Soccer’s Introduction to Grassroots Coaching Module. Specifically, candidates will learn more about U.S. Soccer’s Grassroots Coaching Education Philosophy, Play-Practice-Play Methodology, the Six Tasks of a Coach, and the characteristics of players aged 6-8. The course will also ask each candidate to reflect on their experiences to develop action steps for personal growth.
7v7 Course
The 7v7 In-Person Course builds on the principles covered in U.S. Soccer’s Introduction to Grassroots Coaching Module. Specifically, candidates will learn more about U.S. Soccer’s Grassroots Coaching Education Philosophy, Play-Practice-Play Methodology, the Six Tasks of a Coach, and the characteristics of players aged 9-10. The course will also ask each candidate to reflect on their experiences to develop action steps for personal growth.
9v9 Course
The 9v9 In-Person Course builds on the principles covered in U.S. Soccer’s Introduction to Grassroots Coaching Module. Specifically, candidates will learn more about U.S. Soccer’s Grassroots Coaching Education Philosophy, Play-Practice-Play Methodology, the Six Tasks of a Coach, and the characteristics of players aged 11-12. 11v11 Course
The 11v11 In-Person Course builds on the principles covered in U.S. Soccer’s Introduction to Grassroots Coaching Module. Specifically, candidates will learn more about U.S. Soccer’s Grassroots Coaching Education Philosophy, Play-Practice-Play Methodology, the Six Tasks of a Coach, and the characteristics of players aged 13 and older. The course will also ask each candidate to reflect on their experiences to develop action steps for personal growth.
USSF D Course
The D Course facilitates the improvement of the candidates in the Six Tasks of a Coach across all four game models (4v4, 7v7, 9v9, 11v11) with an emphasis on Coaching Training Sessions.
