Caleb McNaughton
Caleb McNaughton is a missionary in Mexico. Caleb played on the Briarwood Soccer 98 Boys Gold team from 2008-2016, he played at Westminster School and continued his career at Covenant College. He is using his passion for the Lord and for mountain climbing to reach climbers for Christ in Mexico. Click Here to view a short video of him talking about what God has been doing there recently. Paul Downey
99 Ambassador plays as a midfielder for Mississippi College under coach Michael Shumaker.
Before Mississippi College he played at the high school level for SMIC Academy.

Galen Curry97 Ambassador played at Birmingham Southern College under coach Greg Vinson. Galen was a stalwart in goal for our 97 team and led the team to a State Cup semifinal and a State Cup final in 2013 for Coach Neil Clement. Galen graduated from Spain Park High School where he played for coach Matt Hall. He qualified for All-Metro selection his sophomore, junior and senior years in addition to making All-State and Super All-State selection his senior year. Galen had the honor of being his school team’s MVP his senior year as well.

Eric Henze
97 Ambassador played for University of Alabama at Birmingham for coach Mike Getman. He is a big strong central defender that led our 97 team to a state cup semifinal and a state cup final during his club career for Coach Neil Clement. He attended Spain Park High School where he trained under coach Matt Hall. During his time there, he was named All-County, All-State, All-Metro and team captain during his senior year. |
Trigg Langner97 Ambassador played for University of West Alabama as a sophomore under coach Matthew Thorne. He was a steady central midfielder for our 97 club team and helped lead the team to a State Cup final in 2014 for Coach Neil Clement. In high school, he played for Oak Mountain where he was named to the All-Metro, All-State and Super All-State teams his senior year. In 2015, Trigg was named the Kiwanis Player of the Year.
Mark Green
96 Ambassador played for University of Mobile for coach Daniel Whelan. Mark played in seven games in 2015 and was part of the 2015 SSAC All-Academic Team. He tallied three goals for six points and his first-career goal at UM came v. Louisiana College. Mark scored twice v. Brewton-Parker. He was a dangerous forward for our 96 club team at Briarwood. In high school, he played under coaches Ryan Partridge and Dan Demasters at Oak Mountain. Mark’s favorite professional team is Manchester City. Ruth Terry
93 Lady Ambassador played at Covenant College for Coach Mark Duble. She was a fantastic player and example for Christ for BSC for 10 years and led the 93 team to the AYSA U18 State Cup title in 2010 for Coach Jon Spain. She has been a tremendous asset to the Lady Scots team including being team captain her senior year and won the prestigious Woman of the Year award for the USA South Conference in 2016. Joel Nash91 Ambassador working for United Soccer League as the Director of Business Development in Tampa, Florida. Previously, Joel played for University of Evansville where he played in 27 matches, had 7 starts, 1 goal, 3 assists and 5 points. Joel represented his country in the United States Under-17 National Team program in their residency program in Florida in 2009. He also participated in the Brad Friedel Premier Soccer Academy and played for DC United of the US Soccer Developmental Academy. Joel was rated as the fifth best prospect in the South by Top Drawer Soccer. He was a the midfield engine for our Briarwood 91 Ambassadors team and led the team to 2 state cup finals 2007 and 2008 for Coach Neil Clement.

Allison Whitworth88 Attack SC, Allison played for BSC for many years and then for the Attack SC, a BSC spinoff. She had a tremendous youth career, won multiple state championships for club and with Briarwood Christian School. Whitworth went on to a fantastic career at Auburn University where she was the top GK in the SEC in 2006. She was drafted in the WPS Womens Professional League where she played 3 years for the Bay Area franchise, the Atlanta Beat, and Chicago Red Star. She currently is the assistant coach at Mississippi State and helps out at BSC camps when she is available.

Catherine (Reddick) WhitehillBSC's most decorated alumnus, played for BSC for a number of years and then the spinoff 83 Attack SC team. She represented the US at the U20 Pan Am games, went on to be one of the best all-time players at the University of North Carolina where she won 2 national championships, won the Hermann Award for the country's most outstanding player, and had her jersey retired at UNC. She represented the full US national team over 100 times and won the Olympic Gold medal with team USA in 2004. She was one of the marquee players in the WPS Womens League and played for the Washington Freedom, Atlanta Beat and Boston Breakers. She was the assistant coach for the Boston Breakers Pro team. She currently resides in Atlanta with her husband and makes appearances at BSC camps when she is available.
