Director's Corner

We are excited about all that has happened and continues to happen with Briarwood Soccer Club. Since my arrival in the fall of 2002, I have seen the foundation of a great opportunity to train soccer players, train coaches as leaders, and for all to grow in the knowledge and grace of Jesus Christ. The game of soccer is a wonderful platform to teach and train kids about teamwork, discipline, honesty, courage, effort, and many other beneficial traits that help us grow into the men and women of God we were created to be. I have been all over the world playing the game of soccer, from Germany to Sweden, from England to Ethiopia and many points in between. Soccer truly is the world's game, but many people look for soccer to provide their satisfaction and purpose in life. What a great opportunity we have to use the game to teach the love God has for us and our need for a relationship with Christ. Soccer is a wonderful game but falls short in providing true peace in our lives. We are committed, at Briarwood Soccer Club, to providing a great opportunity to play soccer in a fun and competitive environment to prepare them for the competitive arena of life. As I can personally attest, soccer is a wonderful vehicle to meet people, see the world, and build lasting relationships. In my 4 years playing in college and 8 years playing professionally, I have seen the benefits of the game bringing people together. It is my hope that we at Briarwood Soccer Club would use this opportunity to show our love for Christ in the way we act and compete. I look forward to the future and what is in store for Briarwood Soccer Club.  "Go Ambassadors, go!"
